FRANKLIN – Stephen Keener, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020. A native of Macon County, Steve was the son of the late William and Gwendolyn Rogers Keener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son Jeremy Matthew Keener.

Wayne Anderson Justice

FRANKLIN – Wayne Anderson Justice, 78, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020. Wayne was born March 17, 1942 in Macon County to the late Ralph Justice and Ruby Buchanan Justice.  He was employed with Duke Energy, formerly Nantahala Power, for 30 years.

Doris “Deanie” Hurst

FRANKLIN – Doris “Deanie” Hurst, 81, went to her heavenly home on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. Deanie was born in Rabun County, Georgia, the daughter of the late J.C. and Jessie Faye McClure Watts.

John Harvey Guffey

THOMASVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – John Harvey Guffey, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 26, 2020. He was born April 21, 1936 to the late Norman Thad Guffey and Mary Delena Bryant Guffey.

George Thomas Fisher

FRANKLIN – The Rev. George Thomas Fisher went home to his Lord Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. He cherished his wife, Kathryn, (deceased May, 2020) and his children, extended family, friends and congregations.

Ruth Elizabeth Enloe

FRANKLIN – Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Enloe, 101, passed away at Grandview Manor on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020. She was born Oct. 16, 1919 in Lawrence, Essex County, Massachusetts to the late Arthur Raymond and Ruth E. Remick Drummond.

Dorothy Rose Crawford

FRANKLIN – Dorothy Rose Crawford, 102, died peacefully at her home on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. A native of Rogersville, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Thomas O. Rose and Mattie Greer Rose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, John L.

Debra Scott Whiteside

FRANKLIN – Debra (Debbie) Scott Whiteside, 65, passed away Dec. 17, 2020.  Debbie was a member of Watauga Baptist Church and acted as a caregiver to others in recent years. She enjoyed canning, spending time with her family, and being outside. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

Daniel Quigley

FRANKLIN – Daniel Quigley, 58, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020. Born in Ionia, Michigan he was the son of the late Charles and Janet Johnson Quigley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Mike Quigley.

Lila “Rendy” Johnston Howle

FRANKLIN – Lila “Rendy” Johnston Howle went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 11, 2020. Rendy was born on March 6, 1943 to the late Rev. and Mrs. James W. Johnston Sr. A graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia, South Carolina, she continued her education at Columbia College.
