FRANKLIN – Reverend Roger Wayne Alewine Sr., 83, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. Born in Red Bank South Carolina, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Ileen Goodwin Alewine.

FRANKLIN – John David Wilson, 61, passed away Dec. 31, 2020.  A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 at the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating.  Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Wilson family.

Virginia Marie Gould Reynaud MD

HIGHLANDS – Virginia Marie Gould Reynaud MD passed away on Dec. 16, 2020. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Reynaud family.

Maria Lurdes Mira

FRANKLIN – Maria Lurdes Mira, 87, passed away on Dec. 23, 2020 at the Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville Memory Care facility. A small ceremony with immediate family took place at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home on Dec. 30, 2020.  Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Mira family. 

Linda Long

FRANKLIN – Linda Long, 61, passed away Dec. 31, 2020. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Jan. 5, 2021 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Revs. Jason Smith and Ronnie Branson officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Jodie Lorene Pressley Carver

FRANKLIN – Jodie Lorene Pressley Carver, 47,  died on Jan. 2, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at the chapel of Macon Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Ream officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mary Frances Cabe

FRANKLIN – Mary Frances Cabe, 83, passed away Dec. 31, 2020. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Jan. 4, 2021 at Wright Cemetery. The Rev. Rondal Owen officiated. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wright Cemetery Fund.  Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

William A Berry

FRANKLIN – William A. Berry “Paw,” 92, passed away Dec. 28, 2020. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Carson Gibson and Jason Stevens officiating. Visitation was from 1-2 p.m.

Ola Belle Bates

HIGH SHOALS, NORTH CAROLINA – Ola Belle Bates 79, formerly of Franklin, passed away Jan. 2, 2021.  A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2021 at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank Rodriguez officiating.

Danny Joe Teem

FRANKLIN – Danny Joe Teem, 65, died on Jan. 1, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Danny passed away from COVID-19 complications with his family by his side.  Danny was born in Macon County and was the son of the late George Teem and Mattie Pearl Teem.
