Joyce Cassada Bryant

FRANKLIN – Even at 90 years old, Joyce Cassada Bryant kept the twinkle in her eyes and her easygoing way of making and keeping friends. Born in Clay County on Nov. 14, 1930, Joyce came to Franklin, started from scratch, and was able to make a name for herself in Macon County.

Cheera Lona Soper Roadarmel

FRANKLIN – Cheera Lona Soper Roadarmel, 101, passed away on Jan. 5, 2021 after a brief illness. Daughter of the late Elsie and Marcus Soper, she was preceded in death by husband George Lehman (killed at Saipan during WWII, 1944) and husband Willard F. “Bud” Roadarmel, 1992.

Yukie Sandra Picklesimer

LEMMON, SOUTH DAKOTA – Yukie Sandra Picklesimer, 91, died December 6, 2020, at her home in Lemmon, South Dakota. She was born in Tokyo, Japan on Jan. 1, 1929. She was the oldest of five children. She met her husband Ralph in Japan, got married and traveled all over the world with the military.

Dr. William Ransom Ledford

GREENSBORO – Dr. William Ransom Ledford (Bill), 97, died on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 after a long-fulfilled life and a courageous battle with blood cancer, Multiple Myeloma. He died peacefully at Beacon Place in Greensboro after several weeks of loving care from family and friends.

HAUGHTON, LOUISIANA – Larry B. Ledbetter, 89, formerly of Macon County, passed away on Dec. 30, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Services and interment will be held in Haughton, Louisiana.
