ARDEN – Jessie Ruth “Tootsie” Stewart Williams, 94, passed away Jan. 19, 2021.   A graveside service was held on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021 at the Longview Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the MANNA Food Bank, 627 Swannanoa River Road, Asheville, NC 28805.

Ethel Kirkland Walker

FRANKLIN – Ethel Kirkland Walker, 95, passed away Jan. 19, 2021.  A funeral service was held Jan. 23, 2021 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Walker family. 

Ora Sue (Thomas) Scruggs

FRANKLIN – Ora Sue (Thomas) Scruggs, 87, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 for immediate family only. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Scruggs family.

Kenneth Wayne Pearce

FRANKLIN – Kenneth Wayne Pearce, 65, died on Jan. 20, 2021. Visitation with the family was held at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 24. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Pearce family.

Charles Russell Peek

FRANKLIN – Charles Russell “Rusty” Peek of Macon County passed away on Jan. 24, 2021. No services are planned at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donate to a favorite charity or reach out and help someone who may be struggling during this pandemic.

FRANKLIN – Myrtle “Alice” Johns Laurenzo, 90, passed away Jan. 12, 2021 at Franklin House. No services are scheduled at this time. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

America Potts Hedden

FRANKLIN – America Potts Hedden, 98, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2021 at Burningtown Baptist Church cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Burningtown Baptist Church. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Margie Marie Hooper Gibson

FRANKLIN – Margie Marie Hooper Gibson, 97, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. She was born Oct. 8, 1923 in Macon County to the late Fred Hooper Sr. and Hester Gibson Hooper.

Carl Fendrick

BAYTOWN, TEXAS – Carl Fendrick is home!  He is reunited with our Heavenly Father and his bride, Marjorie. Hallelujah! Carl was born Dec. 6, 1924 in Ashland, Ohio to Carl and Mary Fendrick. He was the oldest of three boys. His brothers are James and Jack.  Carl passed away Jan.
