Thomas R. Renner

FRANKLIN – Thomas R. Renner, 77, passed away at his residence on Monday Jan. 11, 2021. He was born on Sept. 23, 1943 in Waukesha, Wisconsin where he graduated high school. On March 8, 1969 he married Kaylynn Kaiser. She preceded him in death on Oct. 31, 1988.

Joseph “Joe” Rambo

May 24, 1939 – Nov. 18 2020. FRANKLIN – Joe Rambo, 81, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, at his son and daughter-in-law’s house in Powder Springs, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Ken and Nancy Rambo, born in Santa Rosa, California.

Samuel “Calvin” Queen

FRANKLIN – Samuel “Calvin” Queen, 73, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 after a period of declining health. A native of Rabun County, Georgia, he was the son of the late John Claude and Gladys Holcomb Queen.

Lola C. Powell

FRANKLIN – Lola C. Powell, 102, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home on the morning of Jan. 15, 2021. A summer resident for forty years, she moved here permanently in 2012. Lola attended the Watagua Baptist Church.

James Marion Moore

FRANKLIN – James Marion Moore, Sr. passed away at the age of 82, Wednesday, Jan. 13 surrounded by his family. James (Jim or Jimmy to those that knew him well) was born in Franklin on Dec. 18, 1938 to Sadie Cunningham Moore and Thomas Harley Moore.

Annie “Ruth” McGahagin

FRANKLIN – Annie “Ruth” McGahagin, 94, died on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at her home. Mrs. McGahagin was born in Fort Myers, Florida, the only child of the late Orren Thomas and Annie Kellogg Tuttle.

William Charles “Charlie” Long

FRANKLIN – Mr. William Charles “Charlie” Long, 81, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.   Mr. Long was born in Macon County on Aug. 15, 1939 to the late William Doyle Long and Faye Howard Long.  He was a truck driver in the trucking industry. Mr.

Frankie Deitz Holbrook

FRANKLIN – Mrs. Frankie Deitz Holbrook, 90, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Rosanna Deitz. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jacob Weaver Holbrook, six brothers and three sisters.

Grace E. Hill

WILTON, CONNECTICUT – Grace E. Hill, 97, passed peacefully away on Jan. 7, 2021 at The Greens in Wilton Connecticut. Born on Sept. 16, 1923 in New Jersey to the late William and Hazel Lamon, she was the third oldest of 13 brothers and sisters.

Jay “Boyd” Fouts

FRANKLIN – Jay “Boyd” Fouts, 79, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021.  Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Nondus and Vira Farley Fouts.
