Photo submitted The leadership team for the Women’s History Trail project of the Folk Heritage Association of Macon County recently visited Wesley Wofford’s studio in Cashiers. Wofford is creating the “Sowing the Seeds of the Future” statue that will be installed in Franklin. Pictured is the clay version of the statue; molds will be made to produce the final bronze statue. This was something of a rebuilding year for the fair coming through the pandemic, so having lots of youth participation was a bright spot for organizers.
