The good times keep rolling for Panther softball. On the week of April 15 Franklin faced a busy slate of games, including Mountain Seven contests with Tuscola, North Henderson and Pisgah.

It was a mixed week for Panther baseball. Entering the week of April 8 on a two-game win streak, Franklin faced a pair of Mountain Seven Conference foes, hosting Pisgah and traveling to Smoky Mountain.

Panther men’s golf is entering the final part of their season. Following a stellar first half of the year, Franklin returned from spring break with a full week of rest, and matches in Hendersonville and Clayton, Georgia on the docket.

Panther track and field is entering the home stretch. One week after taking on many of the region’s best teams in Seneca, South Carolina, on April 13 Franklin traveled to Rabun Gap for a more intimate affair.

Panther JV women’s soccer remains unbeaten through six matches. After a solid 2023, earning three wins, three losses and a draw, Franklin has accrued one of its best records in program history. Just three wins shy of a perfect campaign, Juan Morales said his team has what it takes.

Panther women’s soccer is on a hot streak. Since winning just one of their first six games, Sam Vargas’s team has been on a tear, earning three straight victories over Pisgah, Smoky Mountain and Murphy.

One of Panther track’s most competitive meets of the year is in the books. On Saturday, March 30, the team traveled to Starr’s Mill High School south of Atlanta for its annual Friday Night Lights. Versus 21 of Georgia’s most elite teams, Franklin ranked among the very best in several events.

Tennis routs Tuscola, Pisgah; improves to 4-4

It was a good week for Panther men’s tennis. Having won just two of their first six matches, on the week of March 25 Franklin began the second half of their season. With wins over Mountain Seven rivals Tuscola and Pisgah, Sammy Gunter’s team improved their conference record to 4-4.

Panther softball has maintained its unbeaten record in dramatic fashion. In their first seven games, Franklin outclassed most of their opponents, with Smoky Mountain and Hiwassee Dam providing their only serious threats.
