Jill Holland Yeary

FRANKLIN - Jill Holland Yeary, 65, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019. Graveside services were held Sunday, Dec. 29 at Woodlawn Cemetery.  The Rev. Greg Rogers officiated. A celebration of her life was held following the graveside service at Pine Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall.

Karen Ann Sauerwein

FRANKLIN - Karen Ann Sauerwein, 68, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ocala, Florida. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

James V. Redmond Jr.

WARNE - James V. Redmond Jr., 87, of Warne, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Hayesville. The family will receive friends from 2-3:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.

Hubert Oscar Hendrie Jr.

FRANKLIN - Hubert Oscar Hendrie Jr., 89, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019 at his home. A private service for Mr. Hendrie will be held at a later date.  Bryant-Grant is serving the family.

Carolyn Ann Cabe Dalrymple

FRANKLIN - Carolyn Ann Cabe Dalrymple, 75, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Revs. John Makinson and Charles Martin will officiate.

FRANKLIN - David Bruce, 71, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. A private family service will be held at a later date. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Bruce family. 

Walter Paul Seeley

BREVARD - Walter Paul Seeley, 78, formerly of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019.   Born on the Lower East Side of New York City, Walter and his family moved to Franklin in 1982.

Carmen Green Jessup

FRANKLIN - Mrs. Carmen Green Jessup, 85, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019.  Mrs. Jessup was born Aug. 7, 1934 in Haywood County, to the late Clifford Wallace Green and Myrtle Wyatt Green.

Junior McArthur Hurst

FRANKLIN - Junior McArthur Hurst, 74, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late James McArthur Hurst and Eliza Elliott Hurst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce and Leon Hurst; and grandson, Brandon Hurst.

Maymia Lucille Haggard

ASHEVILLE - Maymia Lucille Haggard, 99, passed away quietly, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side, on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 at Solace Hospice in Asheville. She was born in August 1920 in Cumberland County, Tennessee, the first of nine children born to Bert and Lottie Lewis.
