Cullasaja VFD members turn in gear

Cullasaja Gorge Fire & Rescue took a big hit to their roster after 14 members resigned simultaneously last week. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 1 during a closed meeting.

School board discusses threats to cyber security

Macon County 4H members returned to the fairgrounds last Tuesday night to start preparing for the 2021 lamb showing season.

Walmart shooter arrested

Phillip Lawrence Buchanan, 58, of Franklin was arrested June 23 after firing shots toward a delivery truck behind Walmart in Franklin. Officers were dispatched to the store on Commons Drive at 12:15 a.m.
