New FHS work ‘coming together’

Around 90,000 cubic yards of earth, which will lower the former FHS practice field at least 13 feet, will be moved onto the now-treeless Frogtown property. Macon County Schools Facilities Director Tracy Tallent gave that update on the FHS project at the Board of Education’s Jan. 27 meeting.

Cabe, five others applied for county manager position

The interim county manager is one of six applicants who have put their name in the hat for the county manager position. Interim County Manager Warren Cabe took the position at the end of October after 10-year county manager Derek Roland resigned in September.

County hits pause on park design
