FRANKLIN - Geralene Stiwinter Henry, 83, passed away on May 14, 2022, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Bessie Stiwinter and the wife of the late Howell Henry. Geralene retired from Macon County School System as a teacher. She loved traveling and reading books.

FRANKLIN - Sara Jo Bell Hedgepeth, 92, passed away on May 18, 2022. Sara Jo was born in Guilford County to the late Joseph Bell and Minnie Garris Bell.

ATHENS, GEORGIA - Michael Scott Seger passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 57. Formerly of Franklin he graduated Franklin High School in 1983, attended Brevard College on a basketball scholarship and the University of Georgia.

Dennis Mennenger

FRANKLIN - Dennis Dean Mennenger, 80, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022. Dennis was born Feb. 17, 1942, and raised on a farm in South Dakota. In his youth he enjoyed flying airplanes and driving race cars. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was best known for being able to “fix anything.
