SYLVA - Peggy Crawford Jones, 83, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022. She was born in Jackson County on June 12, 1939, to the late Allen and Janie Cogdill Crawford.

FRANKLIN - Judith Ann Hughes, 81, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. Bryant Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Hughes family.

OTTO - Virginia Pearl Dowdle (Dills), 88, passed away on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, after a period of declining health. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

SYLVA - Nellie Mae Donaldson Cagle “Nini,” 99, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

FRANKLIN - Edward J. Bridge passed away Aug. 31, 2022. In Ed’s 87 years of life, he loved his wife Audrey for 87 years.

FRANKLIN - Patricia Anne Sox Alewine joined her husband in heaven on Sept. 29, 2022. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

FRANKLIN - George C Taylor, Jr., 87, passed away Sept. 24, 2022. Macon Funeral home is handling the arrangements.

Hattie Mae Wiggins Potts, 85, passed away Sept. 21, 2022.

FRANKLIN - Rudy Allen Hughes, 75, died on Aug. 29, 2022, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville. Rudy lived many years in Franklin and was a recent resident of Murphy.
