NANTAHALA - Gerald A. Morgan, 79, became a silent key and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022. Gerald was born in Nantahala to the late Fred and Lexie Mashburn Morgan on Aug. 26, 1942. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judith Ashe Morgan.

FRANKLIN - Richard Darrell Kreis, 78, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022. Rick was born to the late John and Dorothy Kreis on March 19, 1944, in Du Quoin, Illinois. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John Wesley Kreis and Edward Lee Kreis; and grandson Zak Kreis.
