FRANKLIN – On May 5, 2020, Henry Lee King was suddenly called home to be with the Lord from his home at King’s Grocery in Bryson City, North Carolina.  Henry was born in Bryson City to the late Hill and Vesta King on Oct. 24, 1937.

FRANKLIN –  Mr. Donald “Don” Calvin Huscusson, 85, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 in Sylva, NC. A private graveside service was  held Sunday, May 10, 2020. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Huscusson family.

FRANKLIN – Wayne Roger Cunningham, born on June 4, 1945, to Ralph and Maggie Elliott Cunningham, went to be with our precious and gracious Lord, on May 7, 2020.

Marjorie Pearl Bozeman

FRANKLIN –Marjorie “Margie” Pearl Bozeman, 71, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020.  Born in Clarkesville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Karl Stancil and Marie Ruth Harris Stancil. Margie worked as an LPN for many years and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Shirley Blanton

FLORIDA – Shirley Rinker Blanton, 84, of Sarasota, Florida, died on April 22, 2020.  Born in Muncie, Indiana on Sept. 7, 1935, she was an elementary school teacher for 32 years. She was married to her loving husband, Bob, for 60 years.

Robert Akers

FRANKLIN–Robert “Bob” Akers, 83, resident of Franklin, passed away May 4, 2020. Bob was born in Kalamazoo, MI and was a US Marine Corps Veteran. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his surviving wife, Joan and their six children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Dr. B.V. Dean (Bev) Smith

WINTER HAVEN - Born June 8, 1932 in Lakeland, Florida. Passed April 29, 2020 in Acworth, GA. Dean was a lifelong musician; a percussionist first in the U.S.
