Franklin’s boys track and field team has a knack for winning a championship during its first year in a new conference.
That’s the approach Franklin softball coach Adam Tallent tells his players to take at the plate.
Before the season started, Franklin’s softball team set three major goals for the regular season:
• Beat Pisgah
• Beat Smoky Mountain
• Go undefeated
After neither team managed to score a goal in 100 minutes of action, Franklin and Smoky Mountain went to penalty kicks to decide the regular season finale.
If Zach De La Cruz had a bad shooting night on the road, he knew wouldn’t be able to sleep.
