FRANKLIN – Betty Zane Henry Hunter Butts passed away on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Clayton, Georgia. Burial followed at Clear Creek Community Cemetery.

Elizabeth T. Buchanan

SYLVA – Elizabeth T. Buchanan, 91, died peacefully Friday, Sept. 3, 2021. Elizabeth was born April 3, 1930, in Franklin, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ethel Buchanan Thompson.

Dana Phillip Bellavance

FRANKLIN – Dana Phillip Bellavance, 60,  passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021. Dana was preceded in death by his fathers, Hollis Williams, and Paul Bellavance. He graduated from New Hampshire Technical Vocational College with an associate’s degree in mechanical drafting.

Danny D. Talley

APOPKA, FLORIDA – Danny D. Talley, 50, passed away on Aug. 23, 2021. He was born on Feb. 26, 1971, in Apopka.  He attended school in Wildwood, Florida, and was an Orange County Corrections Officer for 22 years.  Danny was a big man with a big heart.

FRANKLIN – Kathryn Elizabeth Roten Cruse, 88, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Edgar and Ira Edna Holbrook Roten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Rev. Lloyd “Jack” Cruse on Dec.

James Glenn Castle

OTTO – James Glenn Castle, 67, passed away on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021. Glenn was born in Rabun County, Georgia to Geneva Reynolds Castle Carpenter and the late R.L. Castle.  Glenn enjoyed working in flowers and working his booth at Rabun Flea Market.

Sarah Virginia Leopard Brendle

FRANKLIN – Sarah Virginia Leopard Brendle, 88, went on to Glory on Aug. 29, 2021. A native of Jackson County, she was born on June 26, 1933 to Lambert and Allie Bryson Leopard. Her family moved to Macon County when she was just a child.

Maxine Carver Wilson

FRANKLIN – Maxine Carver Wilson, 68, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021. Graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

John Kirk Impagliatelli

FRANKLIN – John Kirk Impagliatelli, 56, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2021. A gathering of friends was held on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Macon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kaylee’s Closet, an organization that helps children in foster care in Macon County.
