MILLS RIVER, NORTH CAROLINA – Donald George Faulkner, 66, passed away at the Elizabeth House Hospice Center on Aug. 30, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Faulkner was born in Asheville to the late George Wayne and Helen W. Faulkner, and graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, N.C. He was employed in manufacturing and home building industries. Prior to and during his retirement, he enjoyed many hobbies especially woodworking, golfing and fishing.
Mr. Faulkner is survived by his sister Beth Faulkner Farmer and her husband Rick of Asheville; brother, Gerald W. Faulkner of Pahrump, Nevada; nieces Lauren Morgan and Jessica Quintana of Asheville; and other extended family including his lifelong friend Jerry Holland, and his wife Cheri, of Asheville.
A memorial service was held at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville at 11 a.m. on Sept. 7.
