CLAYTON, GEORGIA – Joyce Wood Ramey, 89, passed away to her heavenly home on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends and extended family. Joyce was a Christian by faith and was a member of Chechero Baptist Church for 38 years. Joyce was born on Feb.

Bernard “Bernie” Maki

FRANKLIN – Bernard “Bernie” Maki, 71, passed away on Sunday Aug. 1, 2021. Bernie was born in Munich, Germany, and was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Weingartner Maki.

Anna “Ruth” Pickens Holden

FRANKLIN – Anna “Ruth” Pickens Holden, 82, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Wade and Evelyn Estina Sanders Pickens.

Robert Charles Criswell

FRANKLIN – Robert Charles Criswell, 67, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021. Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Geraldine Hand Lanier and the late Edro “Dean” Criswell. Bobby was of the Church of God Faith and was a retired Welder with Lockheed Martin.

Rosa Lee Bradley

FRANKLIN – Rosa Lee Bradley, 92, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021. Born in Macon County on March 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George Bulen McCall and Eva Jane Gregory McCall. Rosa Lee was a woman of faith and was a member of Rose Creek Baptist Church.

Carolyn Faust Ammons

FRANKLIN – Carolyn Faust Ammons, 68, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021. Carolyn was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of the late Anson Darnell and Carrie Lee Ernandez Faust. Eight years ago this month, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bobby Frank Ammons.

Margaret Loraine Corbin Powell

FAYETVILLE, GEORGIA – Margaret Loraine Corbin Powell, 89, made her final journey on the Aug. 17, 2021, in her home in Fayetteville, Georgia. Loraine was born on May 30, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Aileen Angel.

William Andrew “Bill” Morgan

FRANKLIN – William Andrew “Bill” Morgan, the son of Henry Wilmer Morgan and Nannie Ruth Penn Morgan, was born on Feb. 6, 1947. He made his mark on the world as a teacher and coach. For 39 years, 1973-1983 in Monticello, Georgia, and 1983-2012 at Franklin High School, Bill influenced many students.
