Clint Kendall received the Citizen of the Year Award at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce annual banquet held Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts.
Kendall is CEO and Chief Nursing Officer of Angel Medical Center, a member of Rotary Club of Franklin Daybreak and is active in other organizations in the county.
“This award is not mine alone, this award belongs to Angel Medical Center,” said Kendall. “I am only one piece of the bigger picture that we are creating as a culture, ‘We are Angel.’ We are here for our patients, our community, our team and our families. Angel Medical Center is full of people with servants’ hearts and a passion to care for our community.”
In addition to the Citizen of the Year, the following awards were presented:
Duke Citizenship & Service Award – Steve and Patty Raby.
Above and Beyond Award – Eric Haggart.
Youth Citizenship Award – Anna Waskey.
Organization of the Year – Franklin Garden Club.
Matt Corbin, 2024 Chamber President, was presented a plaque by incoming President Hunter Strickland for his leadership during the past year.
The Franklin Chamber Board of Directors was also recognized including current, new and outgoing board members.
Officers for 2025 are Hunter Strickland, president; Bryson Burt, president-elect; Matt Corbin, past president; and George Young, secretary.
Board members for 2025 year are Laura Brooks, Tyler Cloer, Kyle Ledford, Nathan LiBasci, Deborah Patterson, Caleb Peters, Greg Proffitt, Patty Raby, Brooke Reale, Cody Rodgers and Annie Breedlove Wishon.
The following board members were recognized for completing their terms on the board: John Hamlin (past president), Judy Chapman, Sean Gibson, Mia Overton and Patsy Parker.
