Panther wrestling’s State Champion is a high school All-American. Recently, Garrett Young (right), Devlin Bailey (left) and Justin Gonzalez traveled to Virginia Beach for the National High School Coaches’ Association High School Nationals. There Young reached the Consolation Finals in the 215-lb. weight class, claiming a 10-1 major decision to place third overall. Having pinned the #2 seed en route to a 5-1 tournament record, Young also earned All-American honors as a top-eight finisher. Gonzalez (120) and Bailey (285) also impressed, with Gonzalez winning his first match 5-4.
