Panther softball’s slugger-in-chief continues to amaze. Throughout her first two-plus seasons, junior Kendall Rumans has been among Franklin’s greatest-ever hitters, shattering its single-season RBI record as a freshman (46). With five more RBIs in a 10-0 win at East Henderson March 7, Rumans improved her career total to 100, tying mid-2010s star Haeli Bryson for Franklin’s all-time record. With two home runs against the Eagles she also neared another Bryson record, ending the game four home runs shy of Bryson’s career mark (28). The win improved Franklin’s record to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain Seven Conference, ahead of a trip to Tuscola after press time March 11.
