Macon Middle School baseball and softball are Blue Ridge Athletic Conference Champions. On Wednesday, May 7, both teams hosted their respective BRAC title games, playing concurrently on separate fields at MMS. On the softball field, Macon won a 1-0 nailbiter over Smoky Mountain, capturing their fourth BRAC title in four years. On the baseball field the Panthers made quick work of their opponents, routing Rugby (Hendersonville) 13-2 in a five-inning mercy rule. The wins brought Macon’s total to eight BRAC titles this school year, including football, volleyball, boys soccer, boys basketball, girls basketball and boys track.
