Franklin’s Little League baseball and softball teams are preparing for their district tournaments.
Following the spring regular season, coaches recently selected Franklin’s citywide All-Star teams. For the next two weeks they’ll compete to represent District 5 at their respective state tournaments, with their tentative first-round schedules listed below:

June 21 @ Parker Meadows vs. Great Smokies (10 a.m.), Transylvania (12 p.m.)
June 28 @ Fairview Elementary, Sylva, vs. Blue Ridge (2 p.m.)
Machine Pitch Baseball
June 21 @ Fairview vs. Mountaineers (10 a.m.)
June 28 @ Konehete Park, Murphy, vs. Blue Ridge (10 a.m.), Great Smokies (12 p.m.)
June 29 @ Parker Meadows vs. North Asheville (12 p.m.), Transylvania (4 p.m.)

June 27 @ Transylvania County vs. the winner of Transylvania vs. Canton.
