Franklin’s N.C. District 5 Little League All-Star tournaments are in the books, following two weeks of competition including several games at the Parker Meadows Complex. In Coach Pitch Softball, Franklin defeated Blue Ridge for a District 5 title, advancing to their state tournament in Lake Norman July 5-8. Major League Baseball hosted Blue Ridge in their own championship game June 30. The Press will report further in future editions.
