The Moonlight Moonshine 10K, a fundraiser for Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center, was held July 6.
Tracy Austin of Franklin was the top female runner and placed third overall with a time of 44:29.04. Jose Vega of Clarkesville, Georgia, was the top runner with a time of 40.14.83. Placing second was Eli Baldy of Maryville, Tennessee. The race drew 41 runners; the results by age category are as follows with local runners noted:
