FRANKLIN - Patricia Ann Millikin Salenius McClure, 81, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020. She was a native of Weldon, North Carolina and the daughter of the late Almond Millikin and Jane Gregory Millikin. She is survived by her husband, Sam McClure; two sons, Howard George Salenius Jr.

Helen Gibbs Higdon

Madison, Alabama - Helen Gibbs Higdon, 99, of Sylva, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020. Helen had been a resident of the Morningside of Madison in Madison, Alabama for the past 18 months.  A native of Leicester, North Carolina, Helen was born on Feb. 21, 1921.

Edward Rush Dillard

DILLARD, GEORGIA - Edward Rush Dillard, 83, passed away peacefully on Sept. 30 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center surrounded by loving members of his family. The son of the late Claude Edward Dillard and Florence Mattie Grist, Edward was born on Jan. 17, 1937.

Bruce Alan Bryson

FRANKLIN - Bruce Alan Bryson, 81, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2020. A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Wiley Alexander Bryson and Helen Florence Rowland Bryson. On Sept. 3, 2018, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary “Sue” Bailey Bryson.

Bonnie Higdon Bradley

FRANKLIN - Bonnie Higdon Bradley, 89, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Kate Williams Higdon. She lived in Macon County most of her life and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

William Cary (Bill) VanHook

PALM BAY, FLORIDA - William Cary (Bill) VanHook, 83, formerly of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 at his home. Bill was born Sept. 13, 1937 in Franklin A funeral service for Mr. VanHook will be held 11 a.m. Wed., Sept. 30, 2020 at the Prentiss Church of God, Franklin with the Revs.

FRANKLIN - Sammie Elmer Beck, 85,  passed away on Sept. 16, 2020. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home with burial following in Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery in Highlands. Pastor Oliver Rice officiated.
