Robert Raby

FRANKLIN - Robert “Eddie” Raby, 73, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Burningtown Baptist Church cemetery. Larry Raby and Rev. Jim Greer officiated.

Marilyn Payne

OTTO - Marilyn Henson Payne, 84, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021. A Celebration of Life service was held Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, with Rev. Eric Henson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m.

Donald MacLean

FRANKLIN - Donald John “Jack” MacLean Jr., age 93, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021. He was born in New Rochelle, New York, the son of Donald John MacLean Sr. and Sally Reynolds MacLean.

Frances Ledford

FRANKLIN - Frances Brumit Ledford, 62, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021. Born in Johnson City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Cecil and Evelyn Geraline Oliver Brumit.  Frances spent many years as a teacher assistant in the Macon County School system.

Perlie Cabe

FRANKLIN - Perlie Edwin Cabe, 78, passed away Sunday Nov. 7, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Janet Greene officiating. Burial will follow at the Clarks Chapel UMC cemetery.

Robert Rowland

FRANKLIN - Robert Harley Rowland, 73, passed away Oct. 30, 2021, after a period of declining health. Robert was born in Macon County to the late Royal and Carrie Henderson Rowland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Rowland of Nantahala.

Rose Rogers

FRANKLIN - Rose Irma Coggins Rogers, 92, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021. Born in Jackson County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Annie Bennett Coggins.

FRANKLIN - Julie Annette McCall Reed, 56, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021. Graveside service was held Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Miller cemetery in Highlands, North Carolina. Rev. Tim McCall officiated.

Karen Jo Raby

JACKSON COUNTY - Karen Jo Raby, 57, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at Bryant Grant Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tony Drinnon officiated. Family received friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
