School board raises pre-K fee

The Macon County Board of Education has increased the monthly fee for private-pay pre-kindergarten from $389 to $450. Unlike K-12 education, pre-K is not mandatory for Macon County students.

Young, Wallace to square off for county board seat

Election day has come and gone, and Macon County voters have their general election candidates. Betty Cloer Wallace will represent Macon County Democrats as a candidate for the Macon County Board of Commissioners. Wallace garnered 1,768 votes or 55.65 percent of the vote compared 1,409 or 44.

Double feature at FHS
