4H commended for state competition win

Macon County’s 4H Club won big at the state level in their latest shooting competitions, and they made sure to let their county government know about it.

School Board considers mental health partnership

The Macon County Board of Education heard a presentation from the digital curriculum provider EVERFI about an opportunity to expand access to mental health resources in Macon County Schools during their meeting on Monday night.

REACH teaches self-defense

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, REACH of Macon County ended October with their first free self-defense class, led by violence prevention education coordinator Elijah Ingraham. Though billed as a self-defense class, Ingraham doesn’t think that term sends the right message.
