FRANKLIN - Shirley Marie Scott, 90, passed away Sept. 28, 2022, while visiting her daughter in Florida.
Shirley was born Dec. 15, 1931, in KanKaKee, Illinois, to James and Marie Remington. She married Bradley L. Scott in Pontiac, Michigan, and had six children. Upon retirement Bradley and Shirley traveled the United States in a motor home. In 1991 they made Franklin their permanent home.
Shirley was a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church, a longtime participant in Senior Games, treasurer for Friends of the Library, DAR, a Friends of the Greenway volunteer, Extension Club; she enjoyed ladies card parties, bingo and was an avid reader.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 72 years, Bradley L.; son, Bradley J. (Susan); daughters, Diane Sakuta (Robert) and Susan Weinman (Mark); seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jeffrey, Terry and Steven Scott; and two brothers.
