FRANKLIN - Paul Miller Haggar, 62, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Paul was born Dec. 20, 1959, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to the late Donald A. Haggar and Ruth Irene Miller.
Paul Haggar served his country in the National Guard from 1979 through 2003. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Nebraska National Guard in July 1992. He served in Grenada with the 82nd Airborne Division in October 1983, earning the Combat Infantryman’s badge, Parachutist badge, and a Meritorious Service Medal among other awards. Paul Haggar retired from the federal government in 2006 as a counselor.
Paul is survived his daughter, Chandra Schroeder; grandson, Kalel; brothers, Bruce Haggar of Brookings, South Dakota, and Don K. Haggar (Michele) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister, Patricia Ruth Haggar Barrett (Clancy) of Gravois Mills, Montana.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Brian Haggar and David Haggar.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 18 at 12:30 p.m. at the AFP headquarters, 5032 Bur Oak Drive, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, in Sioux Falls.
