FRANKLIN - Mildred Ann Carver, 85, passed away at her residence on Sept. 14, 2022. As Mildred would say, “her transfer papers are completed,” she is walking on streets of gold.

She was the daughter of the late John Roscoe and Hattie Jones McMahan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank A. Carver; brothers, John McMahan Jr. and Corsey McMahan; and sisters, Ruby Bradley and Lucy McMahan.

Mildred dedicated her life to caring for others. She loved to read and study her Bible and was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church.

She is survived by brothers, Grover McMahan (Evelyn) and Bobby McMahan (Ethel); sister-in-law, Magdalene McMahan, all of Jackson County; and lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 18 at the old Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Ledford, Rev. Robert Jones and Rev. Rusty Wolfrey officiated. Burial followed in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends prior to the service at the church.
