CHARLOTTE - Linda Wilson Ligon, 81, passed away peacefully at home with her family around her. 

She was a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.  She moved to Franklin in 1992 when she joined Morrison Presbyterian Church. She ministered alongside her husband Pastor Wendell Ligon there for 25 years. She moved to Charlotte in 2016 to be closer to her family.

Linda is pre-deceased by her two husbands, Harold Wilson and Wendell Ligon, and a stepson, Jimmy Ligon. 

She is survived by her children and step-children, Wendy Deese (Jim) of Greensboro, North Carolina,  Susan Sisk (Junior) of Ferrum, Virginia, and Eric Wilson (Monica) of Charlotte, North Carolina. Wendell Ligon of Hartsville, South Carolina, Lucy Heffelfinger (Karl) of Hickory, North Carolina, George Ligon (Michelle) of Boone, North Carolina, and Rachel Bradley of Asheville, North Carolina, as well as loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Mom never met a stranger and would talk to you about anything, however, her favorite topics were her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her beloved Auburn Tigers. I think she would want us to tell you...War Eagle!
