FRANKLIN – John James Henshaw, 78, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019.
Born in Newport News, Virginia, he was the son of the late John James Henshaw Sr. and Lora Mae Noble Henshaw.
John was a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and an active member of Sugarfork Baptist Church and Morning Star Baptist Church in Ft. Myers, Florida, where he served on the building and grounds committee.
He had a very big heart and was always willing to help others.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Gloria Jean Henshaw; two daughters, Lori McWilliam and Marilyn Lamble, both of Missouri; three step-children, Keith Roszell of Fort Myers, Coreen Beck of Troy, Ohio and Robert Milling of Liberty, New York; sister, April Daniels of Exmore, Virginia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Hawkins officiated.
The family receive friends prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
