CANTON, GEORGIA - Jill Rae Hall (nee Bell), 62, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep into the hands of God on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022. She was born on Aug. 14, 1959, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Marvin and Patsy Bell. She was born into a Christian home and was raised in the Baptist faith. She had a strong, loving relationship with God.

Jill graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1977 and Indiana State University in 1981 majoring in marketing as well as textiles and clothing. After college she began her career working for Kmart followed by Carter’s. Most recently, she worked at Tuesday Morning.

While in high school, Jill enjoyed a summer as an exchange student in the Netherlands. Jill’s job as a regional manager for Carter’s Children’s Clothing took her to Kennesaw, Georgia. There she met the love of her life, Thomas (Tom) Hall. Jill and Tom were married on March 23, 1991, at First Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia.

As a regional manager, Jill had the opportunity to visit numerous cities and towns across the United States. During her travels, Jill developed a strong sense of the social injustices throughout the country and having a strong opinion about what she had observed, she didn’t mind sharing it with you. She and Tom loved travelling and shared many beautiful, wonderful days on their adventures together. Jill was an avid seamstress and became an arduous quilter, crafting beautiful pieces. She donated quilts and clothing to hospitals, senior citizen centers, and local charity organizations. Jill was a kind, giving person, volunteering many hours to help the less-fortunate people in her community. She was also a superb cook preparing many festive meals for her family.

Jill is survived by her husband of 30 years, Thomas Hall; parents, Marvin and Patsy Bell of Canton, Georgia; brother, Keith Bell (Jill) of Benton, Kentucky; nephew, Michael Bell (Emily); great nieces; Callie and Palmer Bell of Sandy, Utah; and numerous other in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
