FRANKLIN - Janet Ann Anderson, 64, passed away Oct. 8, 2022. She was born Oct. 13, 1957, in Franklin to the late Turner Cleveland Anderson and Annie Lou Waldroop Anderson. Janet was a CPA and worked for the Town of Franklin as town accountant and clerk for 35 years. She attended Cartoogechaye Church of God and was a member of the North Carolina Clerk Association and International Town Clerk Association. She liked to cook, bake, and have family gatherings.
She is survived by brothers, Jerry Turner Anderson (Karon) and David Eugene Anderson (Gail); sisters, Jane Elizabeth Anderson and Patricia Anderson Davis (Gary); nephews, Steve Anderson, Charles Anderson, Will Davis and Jonathan Anderson; nieces, April Anderson, Jennifer Anderson and Janice Mason; two great-nieces, one great-nephew; one great-great-niece; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Anderson and Marie Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ellis Steve Anderson and Paul Stanley Anderson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Dryman and Rev. Phillip Cochran officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Anderson, Steve Anderson, Clinton Anderson, Will Davis, Eddie Knight, Lloyd Mashburn, Clifford Waldroop and Claude Waldroop.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
