WAYNESVILLE - Iva Lee Scott Green, 67, formerly of Macon County, went to her heavenly home on Oct. 19, 2022.

Born, July 11, 1955, she was the fourth child of the late Rev. Robert and Inez Brendle Scott. She was a member of Rocky Branch Church. Iva was a very caring person that loved gospel music, working in her flowers, yard sales, game shows, and cooking. She retired from Ingles of Waynesville.

Iva is survived by her husband of 44 years, Terry Green; son, Rodney Burch (Sally) of Morganton; daughter, Tina Davis (Brian) of Forest City; granddaughter, Chelsea; siblings, Judy Bumgarner of Sylva, Frances Sheffield of Franklin, Weaver Scott of Waynesvillle, and Ed Scott of Sylva.

A celebration of Iva’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Smoky Mountain Chapel, with the Reverend Charlie Creasman officiating. Burial will be at Green Family Cemetery on Hyatt Creek.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Porter of Smoky Mountain Rehab and Nursing, Rebecca (Nurse Navigator at Haywood Regional Medical Center), hospice nurses, Chelsey, Monica, and Veronica and special friend Mary Russell.
