FRANKLIN – Hollis “Kent” Busing went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus, on Sept. 18, 2021, in their home. 

Kent was born in Lakeland, Florida, on Sept. 1, 1931, to his parents, Ruth and Glenn Busing. Kent graduated from the University of Florida as an electrical engineer in 1953.  Kent was a decorated Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War. He became a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife Diana Peck Busing of 58 years.  They resided happily in beautiful Franklin, North Carolina, for over 40 years. Also surviving are sons W. David Busing, Max R. Busing and daughter Lisa B. Antonowicz. They were blessed with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  

Mr. Busing will be laid to rest in the Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, North Carolina.  Celebration of Life to be planned the first week of October.
