FRANKLIN - Harold Lamar Rayborn Sr., 82, passed away on Saturday June 11, 2022.  He was born in Winter Park, Florida, on July 31, 1939.

Harold was a lifetime member of the PGA. He won his first tournament - The National Pewee Tournament when he was eight years old. In 1966 he was the Florida PGA Match Play champion and in 1968 Harold won a Mercury Montego for a hole-in-one at the Jacksonville Open. In 1984 he was the PGA Professional of the Year for North Florida. Harold retired and moved to Franklin in 1989 after serving as the head professional at the Orlando Naval Training Center and Dusbread Golf Course in Winter Park, Florida, for 22 years.

Harold was a member of Higdonville Baptist Church since 1989 and served as the treasurer for many years. He also led music and worship on Sunday mornings. Harold enjoyed bowling, showing his classic cars, and participating in the Macon County Senior Games.

Harold is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha M. Rayborn; children, Hal Rayborn (Helene), Elaine Rayborn, William Rayborn (Deanna), and Jefferey Rayborn (Donna); seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visition will be at 1 p.m., funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., Friday June 17 at Higdonville Baptist Church at 1990 Ellijay Road. Reverend Scott Matthews will officiate.
