FRANKLIN - Ester Mae Burnette Harrell, 84, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2019.

Born in Paint Rock, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Hester Burnette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) E. Harrell. 

Ester was a gifted entrepreneur, owning and operating several businesses and real estate investments in North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Ester lived for her grandchildren and loved Franklin Panther sports.

She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Rick Harrell (Frances) of Franklin and William Jack Harrell of Georgia; brother, Wayne Burnette of Tennessee; sisters, Donna Mullins (Wayne) and Linda Barnes (John), both of Tennessee; grandchildren, Bill Harrell (Patti), Cindy Christie (Tony), Blake Harrell (Jessie), Evan Harrell (Lauren) and Justin Harrell; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Revs. Chris Rumfelt, Davis Hooper and Wayne Mullins will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Harrell, Blake Harrell, Evan Harrell, Justin Harrell, Mark Wattenbarger and Tony Christie.
