FRANKLIN – Mrs. Elizabeth Ann “Libby Ann” Dean, 79, passed away Wednesday Dec. 2, 2020 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva. 

She was born March 31, 1941 to the late Oline and Reba Boston Stanfield. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is also preceded in death by three brothers, Bob Stanfield, Richard Stanfield and Jim Stanfield.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 43 years, Eugene Dean. Also surviving is her son, Johnathan Dean; and sister in-law, Brenda Stanfield

Elizabeth, also known by her friends as “Libby Ann,” lived her entire life in Macon County. Libby’s father was killed in France during World War II when Libby was 5 years old. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. 

Elizabeth was a homemaker and enjoyed keeping house and cooking, and providing for her family. She was a seamstress with VanRalt for several years and also worked in the office of APAC.
