BETTY’S CREEK, GEORGIA - Coyl Justice, 95, passed away on Jan. 14, 2022.

Coyl was born the son of the late Alden Forrest Justice and Namoi Long Justice on July 1, 1926. In his professional life he worked as a machinist for the AID manufacturing plant. Coyl served his country during World War II in the Philippines. He was a Christian and a member of the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for many years. He operated a plant nursery as well, where he hybridized many varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas.

He was a loving husband to his wife of 74 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Coyl was preceded in death by his son, Gary Justice; siblings, Helen Justice, Oakley Justice, Margie Southards, Bob Justice, Hazel Cope, and Grace Peak.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Mildred Justice, of the home; son Mickey Justice (Debbie) of Otto, North Carolina; his daughter, Julia Taylor (Bruce), of Mountain City; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Betty’s Creek Baptist Church in Dillard with Rev. Ronia Hunter, Mickey Justice and Rev. Don Samples officiating. The family received friends prior to the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Betty’s Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund, 38 Bob Justice Lane, Rabun Gap, GA 30568.
