LINCOLNTON, NORTH CAROLINA – Cathy Jean Stouffer, 59, formerly of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late T.A. and Hallie Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Johnson.
Cathy loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Joshua Wayne Stouffer of Charlotte; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Ryan Stouffer, who meant everything to her. She is also survived by two sisters, Debra Scott (Tony) of Sylva and Carolyn Wiggins (Ted) of Bryson City; one brother, Tommy Johnson (Cindy) of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
A service was held Monday, Nov. 4 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Rev. David Lee Williams officiated. Burial was in the Union United Methodist Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Daniel Scott, Donald Franklin, Tony Scott, Zachery Franklin, Steven Franklin Jr., Ryan Stouffer and Josh Stouffer.
