FRANKLIN - Barbara Jean Finch left us peacefully on July 14, 2020 at the age of 94.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1925 in Binghamton, New York, where she grew up and graduated from Binghamton North High School. She married Orson Finch on April 26, 1947, and they spent 73 loving years together.
She is survived by her loving husband, Orson; daughters Debra Finch and Nancy Corriveau; grandsons Matthew Porter and Patrick Guilfoil; and great-granddaughters Madeline Porter and Lillian Guilfoil.
She was a wonderful and loving wife who was also a terrific cook. She was known for her made-from-scratch spaghetti sauce, tossed salad dressing and especially her ginger snap cookies.
She happily resided in the Western North Carolina mountains in Franklin for many years, where she volunteered at the Smoky Mountains Center for the Performing Arts, Angel Medical Center and Franklin Chamber of Commerce. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
