The following is a release from the Macon County Sheriff’s Office regarding a drug roundup on Sept. 26, 2023.
In the early morning hours of Sept. 26, 2023, after an eight-month investigation, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with multiple agencies conducted a round-up of individuals suspected in drug-related criminal activity called Operation Ice Storm.
The following individuals were arrested:
James “Barry” Henson has been charged with Sell/Deliver Schedule II Narcotics, Trafficking Methamphetamine (2 counts), Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place.
Eric Lynn Sizemore has been charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (4 counts), Sell/Deliver Schedule II Narcotics, Conspire to Sell Methamphetamine, Conspire to Deliver Methamphetamine, Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, Possession of Stolen Property.
Jaclyn Poole has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Property.
John Tallent has been charged with Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place.
Staci Michelle Bempkis has been charged with Conspire to Sell Methamphetamine, Conspire to Deliver Methamphetamine, Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine.
Arthur Troy Jackson has been charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (4 counts), Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Thomas Howard Giesy has been charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (8 counts), Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (3 counts), PWIMSD Methamphetamine, Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place.
Samuel Anderson has been charged with Sell/Deliver Schedule I substance (4 counts).
Danielle Uccetta has been charged with failure to appear on a felony.
Carol Sanders has been charged with Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (2 counts), Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place (2 counts).
Teresa Roquemore has been charged with failure to appear on a felony.
In addition to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, the following agencies took part in the operation: Franklin Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, North Carolina Probation, North Carolina Wildlife, representatives of the District Attorney’s Office.
“A team of almost 50 people from these agencies assembled in order to make this possible, and we appreciate each one of them very much,” said Sheriff Brent Holbrooks.
