Beverly “Sissy” Elaine Holland Jenkins

FRANKLIN – Beverly “Sissy” Elaine Holland Jenkins, 66, died on Friday, May 28, 2021. Memorial service was held June 1 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Macon Funeral Home to help with the expenses. Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Jewell “Sue” Johnson Brown

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – Jewell “Sue” Johnson Brown, 86, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. A service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends prior to the service. Burial will be held at 2 p.m.

William Lee Young

FRANKLIN – Mr. William Lee Young, 73, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his residence. William was born in Jackson, County October 25, 1947 to the late John William Young, Jr. and Dorothy Green Young. He worked and retired as a carpenter in commercial construction.

James Rodney Sweeten

FRANKLIN – James Rodney Sweeten, 17, died on Monday, May 24, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. James was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 29, 2004. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Michelle Kennedy and sister Lexie.

Gloria Marvalane Roper

CLAYTON, GEORGIA – Gloria Marvalane Roper, 71, passed away on May 20, 2021. Gloria was born the daughter of the late Marvin Roper and Margaret Louise Moore Wilson on September 3, 1949. In her professional life she worked in the healthcare industry as a Registered Nurse.

Betty Jo Parrish

FRANKLIN – Betty Jo Parrish, 87, passed away on May 27, 2021. Betty was born in Macon County to the late Edgar and Maude Roper Queen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L.

Jeffery Stuart Martin

FRANKLIN – Jeffery Stuart Martin, 57, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Born in Hampton, Virginia, he was the son of James Franklin and Patricia Grace Reynolds Martin. Jeff was a master carpenter, enjoyed wood working; and he loved music and playing the guitar.

Robert Allen Holcombe, Sr.

TAMPA, FLORIDA – Robert Allen Holcombe, Sr., 84, a native Floridian, passed away May 24, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Saundra and his two sons, Robert Allen, Jr.

FRANKLIN – Laura Belle Long Guffie, 83, passed away May 24, 2021. Belle was born to the late Lawrence and Annie Sprinkle Long in Macon County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Zeb Guffie Jr.; and brothers, Lawrence Long Jr and George “Eddie” Long.
