Raymond Charles Braziel
FRANKLIN - Raymond Charles Braziel, 92, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018.
Born in Atlanta, he was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtis Hutchinson Braziel Ashton; wife, Inez Gaskin Braziel; son, Raymond Wayne Braziel, a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran;, and grandson, David Braziel, who served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a graduate of Miami Senior High School and Miami-Dade College. Raymond was a proud U.S. Navy World War II veteran; a member of the American Legion Post 108 and VFW Post 7339. He was a master gardener.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Welling (Richard) and Denise Stobbie McMeekin (Frank); long-time companion, Beverly Allen; grandchildren, Gregory Welling (Karen), Christopher Welling (Melissa), Kelly Marroquin (Joseph Paul), Lauren Stobbie and John Stobbie; and great-grandchildren, Nicole, Brooke, Tyler, Kylie, Collin, Madison, Finley and Grady.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 23 at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
