Joyce Anne McMahan
FRANKLIN - Joyce Anne McMahan, 60, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of Leona Cabe McMahan and the late James Adam McMahan.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica Houston; brother, Ray Allen McMahan; and two sisters, Judy Nations and Faye Ellen Conner.
Joyce was a purchasing agent for Angel Medical Center; attended Black Mountain Baptist Church; and enjoyed gardening, yard work and crocheting.
In addition to her mother, Leona Cabe McMahan of Sylva, she is survived by her companion, David Phillips; daughter, Kimberley Stanley (Scottie) of Franklin; son, Christopher Houston of Franklin; step-daughter, Lindsey Phillips of South Carolina; three sisters, Linda Phillips, Wanda Farley and Tammy Jones, all of Sylva; brother, Robert McMahan of Kingsport, Tennessee; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 3 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Revs. Steve Reeves and Cale Stancil officiated. Burial was in the Longview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Noah Stanley, Dorian Provencher, Jonah Stanley, Keith Nations, Jeremy Laws and Steve Farley.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Hedden, Randy Hedden, Davie Conner and Jason McMahan.
