Members of Girl Scout Troop 10233 volunteered to plant flowers on April 28 and help beautify downtown Franklin.
The girls planted 10 geraniums in five pots and more than 40 petunias in four rolling beds that will be moved to locations in downtown Franklin. Troop leader Angela Mangas said the money to buy the flowers was raised through cookie sales.
The volunteer effort filled a requirement for the Brownie scouts to receive a WOW patch and the Junior scouts to receive an Agent of Change patch.
