FRANKLIN - Mary Edna Russell, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Nov. 20, 2021.
She was a homemaker, a wonderful cook, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her church family and her favorite pasttime was studying God’s word and listening to gospel music.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Edna Champion; brother Roy Thomas Champion; sisters Linda Yates and Jeanette Niglio.
She is survived by her husband Gene Russell; daughter Linda Jones (John) of Franklin; son David Russell (Debbie) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; sister Judy Taylor (Ronnie) of Connelly Springs; brother-in-law Russell Yates of Clayton, Alabama; grandchildren Erin Salmon (Craig) of Anderson, South Carolina, Timothy Mellor (Julia) of Franklin, and Alyssa Russell of Franklin; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
